KITCHEN TEAM LEAD

We’re looking for a proactive, confident Kitchen person to join our team at Twenty 8 Coffee Shop.

This role sits between entry-level and supervisory — ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, supporting others, and bringing ideas to improve how things are done.

Twenty 8 is a fast-paced, quality-driven coffee shop where customer experience, consistency and high standards matter every day.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen — delivering excellent product supporting team flow and helping maintain a smooth, organised environment.

This is a role for someone who notices things, takes initiative and isn’t afraid to suggest improvements.

  • Part time role 20-30 hours per week

  • Flexibility required across weekdays

  • Availability to work either a Saturday or Sunday weekly required

    • Preparing our high-quality menu items and always thinking of how we can grow

    • Delivering exceptional, confident internal customer service

    • Supporting smooth service in a fast-paced environment

    • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in a small kitchen space

    • Helping new team members settle and learn standards

    • Taking initiative to improve processes, presentation and customer experience

    • Handling produce and orders accurately

    • Leading and promoting Food Safety

    • Hospitality experience preferred

    • Someone proactive — not waiting to be told what to do

    • Confidence to suggest ideas and improvements
